Benfica and Brazil midfielder Anderson Talisca has completed a loan move to Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande after being chased by some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Anderson Talisca who spent the season on loan with Turkish side Besiktas has joined Guangzhou on loan for the next six months.
The Brazilian international was highly sought after this summer with some of Europe’s top clubs looking to sign him up this summer. However, the 24-year-old has decided to join the football revolution in China and follow fellow Brazilians, Oscar, Hulk and many others to the far east.
Guangzhou announced the signing by stating: “Guangzhou Evergrande has officially announced the signing of an agreement with Brazilian Anderson Talisca, who has been loaned for six months.”
The Brazilian has been in fine form for Besiktas this season by making a total of 55 appearances in two-years, scoring 27 goals in total.
Many clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester United targetted the player but in the end, decided to drop their interest. Liverpool recently announced the signing of Fabinho from Monaco and United expect to tie up a deal for Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk once the World Cup is over.
Talisca missed out on a place in the final-23 man World Cup squad for Brazil this summer. However, at the age of 24, he has plenty of time on his side to play in future World Cups for his country.
He will be back on the market in January with many of Europe’s top clubs expected to come back in and make bids for the player.Giu
The tall skilful midfielder was signed by Benfica in 2014 from Brazilian side Bahia. He only played one season at Benfica before loaned out to Besiktas in 2016.
