Arsenal are close to completing the signing of Lyon and France international Nabil Fekir for a fee believed to be in the region of £60m.
According to English publication Dail Star, a deal for Nabil Fekir is almost complete and will pave the way for Alexis Sanchez and Mezut Ozil to leave the club.
The 24-year-old French international has been in fine form for Lyon this season, scoring 11 goals in 11 games.
Fekir, can either play as an out and out striker or as a playmaker behind the striker. If he is to join Arsenal he will join up with former Lyon team-mate and France compatriot Alexandre Lacazette.
Lacazette only joined Arsenal last summer for a club record fee of £52m. The £60m for Fekir will break that record in less than 6 months.
The Star also claim Arsenal may face competition for Fekir from Spanish giants Barcelona. However he is one of many options on the table if the club cannot sign first choice target Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool.
Fekir has been compared to Lionel Messi by Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas. He is seen by Arsenal as the ideal replacement for German international Mesut Ozil.
The French born player of Algerian heritage will be hoping for a good season this term out, with a view to making the final cut for the French World Cup squad in Russia this summer.
A high profile move to the Emirates or Barcelona would certainly do his image good and cement his name into Deschamps final 23-man squad.
