Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been suspended by his club Borussia Dortmund for disciplinary reasons.
Aubameyang will now miss this weekends Bundesliga clash with Vfb Stuttgart for disciplinary reasons.
However, the Gabon striker has defended himself after being suspended, stating he has no idea why he has been given the latest punishment.
The club have offered no further clarification why the ban was given, but German news outlet Kicker have reported that the ban was due to being late 30 minutes for training, an offence he has now committed on multiple times this season.
Other sources are suggesting that Dortmund are not happy with the player for flying out during the international break to meet up with former team-mate Ousmane Dembele in Barcelona.
Last year the player was also sanctioned by former manager Thomas Tuchel when he made a trip to Milan during another international break.
However, Aubameyang insists this time he has done nothing wrong. He told German publication Bild: “After my trip to Milan I could understand my suspension because I ignored an announcement that time.”
“This time I really can’t understand it.”
The Gabon striker has been in great form this season scoring 10 goals in in 11 game, with Dortmund sitting in third place only 6 points off leaders Bayern Munich.
The player was keen to leave the club last summer, but the only firm interest came from Chinese Super League clubs which did not interest him one bit.
After the latest ban, it seems the player will again seek a move away from Dortmund in the January transfer.
