German league leaders and champions Bayern Munich have opened talks with Bordeaux highly rated Brazilian winger Malcom.
German publication Sports Bild are reporting that talks have already taken place between Malcom representatives and the Bayern board. A deal has been agreed between both parties and only an agreement between Bayern and Bordeaux needs to be agreed in order for the move to be completed this summer.
Bayern, are on the look out for new young talented wingers to fill the void that will be left by the ageing veterans Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery. Kingsley Coman has already taken over on the left-side of the Bayern midfield, with the club now looking for someone to fill the right-sided role.
The news will come as a massive blow to a host of Europes top sides who are looking to sign the talented Brazilian winger. Premier League club Tottenham where regarded as favourites to sign the 20-year-old during the January transfer window.
The winger is contracted to French club Bordeaux until 2021 and the club are demanding up to €60m for his signature.
The player has been in fine form for Bordeaux this season, scoring 8 goals and providing 6 assists in his 25 appearances so far.
He signed for Bordeaux in 2015 from Brazilian side Corinthians for an undisclosed fee. So far he has represented his country at Under-20 and Under-23 levels. He is hoping a big money move this summer will bring him to the attention of the Brazilian national team, hopefully earning him his first full international cap.
