Spanish outlet Don Balon are claiming that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has told Los Blancos club president Florentino Perez to secure the services of Emre Cam who’s contract will expire with Liverpool in the next few months.

Can, who is expected to join Juventus on a free transfer this summer, could be persuaded to change his mind and join up with Real this instead. Juventus made the German international an offer back in January but it has yet to be accepted with Juve running out of patients with the player.

Many people believe Can is delaying accepting the offer as he has been waiting for a bigger team of Real Madrid’s calibre to come in and make an offer. It now seems the player has got his wish and now he may move to La Liga instead of Serie A.

It is now expected that Perez will fly into Liverpool and start negotiations with Can’s representatives and iron out a deal. The 24-year-old German international will now have three offers on the table from three of Europe’s biggest clubs to decide from.

The Liverpool midfielder is currently out injured with a back injury and he has missed the last few games including the Champions League victory over Man City and the Merseyside derby. It is expected the player will be out for at least another month and there is a possibility he may never put on a Liverpool shirt again.

The Red’s will be hoping the midfielder will be able to make a speedy recovery in time for the 2nd-leg Champions League last eight tie against City on Tuesday. With Jordan Henderson suspended, Liverpool will be short of midfield options in a tie they find themselves 3-0 up after the first-leg.
