Juventus have opened talks with Manchester United and France forward Anthony Martial over a possible move to Turin during the summer transfer window.
Italian media outlet Tuttosport is reporting that Juve has contacted United about the availability of Martial with talks now ongoing regarding the French international making the move across to the Serie A champions this summer.
The 22-year-old forward has found it hard to establish himself into the Red Devils starting eleven since the arrival of Alexi Sanchez during the January transfer window. He also finds himself behind young English forward Marcus Rashford.
Juve are also hoping that Martial’s French international team-mate Blaise Matuidi who is currently playing with the Italian champions helps to persuade him to make the move across to Turin.
It is understood the Jose Mourinho does not favour the player anymore and he is willing to sanction a move to free up funds to strengthen his squad further this summer.
The young French striker became the most expensive teenager in history when he made a £58m move to United from Monaco in the summer of 2015 at the tender age of only 19.
Since his arrival at Old Trafford, he has gone onto make a total of 82 appearances, scoring 24 goals for the club. His first goal came in his debut for the Red Devils scoring a solo goal against rivals Liverpool, helping United defeat their arch enemy 3-1 in the Premier League.
On the international stage Martial has gone onto win 18 caps for France, scoring one goal. He is expected to make the final 23-man squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer.
The striker himself may feel its time to move and get regular football at the top level, something the Old Lady can offer.
