Batshuayi, who is on-loan from Chelsea until the end of the season netted his third goal in two games as he opened the scoring in the 47 minute.

The win for Dortmund takes them up to third in the table and stretching their unbeaten run under new boss Peter Stoeger to seven games.

Dortmund also gave a debut to new signing Manuel Akanji in defence and also gave a start to Marco Reus who has been out injured for almost one-year. He made his first start of the season this weekend. The German midfielder took the captains armband for the game after spending 259 days out of the first team.

The news of Batshuayi form will be a massive blow to Chelsea fans. The club are currently struggling for form and have struggled to score goals of late. With Morata out injured with a back injury, new signing Olivier Giroud is yet to start a game since his move across to west london.

However, with the loan deal expiring at the end of the season, Blues fans will be hoping the Belgian international keeps his goalscoring form up for Dortmund and return back to Stamford Bridge a better player for next season.

Batshuayi himself will be hoping to continue his good form at Dortmund and force his way into the final 23-man squad for Belgian for this summers World Cup in Russia.

The Belgian forward has failed to nail down a regular spot for Chelsea since his big money move to the Premier League. He will be best known for scoring the goal the clinched last seasons Premier League title away to West Brom in the dying minutes of the match.
