Andrea Belotti could make a move to PSG as a direct replacement for Edinson Cavani

French media outlet Le10Sport are reporting that the big spending Parisians see Belotti as an ideal replacement for Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani who they are looking to offload this summer.

Belotti, who is an Italian international is rated as one of Europe’s top marksmen in the game with clubs from all over Europe looking to sign the Torino hitman. Only last summer Torino turned down a massive £50m bid from Premier League side Arsenal with the club rating him more in the £70m bracket.

That fee would not be an issue for big-spending PSG if they are able to sell on Edinson Cavani for a similar fee this summer. Cavani has had a strained relationship with the club this term since the world record transfer of Neymar to the club last summer. With the club giving preferential treatment to the Brazilian, Cavani has decided it is time to move on.

Belotti has made a total of 94 appearances for Tornio, scoring 46 goals. The Turin based club signed the Italian international from Palermo in the summer of 2015 for €7.5m, with the striker going onto establish himself as one of Serie A top marksmen.

However, PSG will have competition for the Italian’s signature this summer with the likes of AC Milan, Manchester United and Chelsea showing a keen interest.

The 24-year-old is in very high demand and will most likely seek a move away from Torino in order to boost his profile at a bigger club.

He made his debut for the Azzurri back in 2016 and he has won 15 caps, scoring 4 goals to date. He is most likely to lead the Italy front line for years to come.
